My name is Kylie, and I am a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in NYC. I received my Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Pace University. I have extensive training and experience in complex communication needs, emerging communication, augmentative & alternative communication (AAC), gestalt language processing, and play-based approaches to therapy.
I began my career at a highly specialized private school in Manhattan, working with children ages 5-12 with autism and their families. I also have experience working in the NYC public school system with students ages 13-21 with speech and language disorders, including apraxia, articulation, fluency, mixed expressive-receptive language disorders, motor speech, social language, and voice disorders.
I have specialized training in AAC systems, including PRC-Saltillo, Tobii Dynavox, AssistiveWare, and GoTalk products. I provide evaluations and treatment plans for children who use light, mid, and high-tech speech-generating devices. I am a registered Meaningful Speech Natural Language Acquisition clinician, and I’m passionate about the Natural Language Acquisition approach for gestalt language processors.
