Alexandra Coleman, M.S., CCC-SLP is licensed in California and nationally certified through The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Alex is a Certified Autism Specialist through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). She also completed the Social Thinking Clinical Training Level 1A Program led by Michelle Garcia Winner, MA, CCC-SLP and Dr. Pamela Crooke. In addition, Alex is a Hanen Certified Speech-Language Pathologist in the More Than Words® program with advanced training in the Lindamood-Bell® Visualizing and Verbalizing® program, The Zones of Regulation® program and The 360 Thinking Executive Function Program. Alex has also earned the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessment and Services Certificate through the Diagnostic Center, Northern California.
Alex creates "affinity-based" lessons and projects designed to identify and nourish each client’s natural abilities and interests through project based learning, technology, real life applications and field trips. Her goal is to help her clients foster meaningful communication in everyday life!
Alex majored in English and joined the Theatre and Drama department at the University of Michigan where she graduated with distinction. She attended San Francisco State University for graduate school with an internship at Stanford University Hospital. She has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2009.
Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family. You might spot her on a hike in lovely Marin County, exploring new restaurants and museums in SF or seeing the coolest new movie. She also loves performing and attending live theatre around the San Francisco Bay Area.
